  1. Start by creating a checklist. What areas you want to tackle, such as closets, cabinets, and drawers, as well as specific tasks like dusting, vacuuming, and washing windows.
  2. Focus on one room or area at a time. This can prevent you from feeling overwhelmed and help you see progress more quickly. Begin with the area that will make the biggest impact, such as the kitchen or living room, and work your way through the rest of the house.
  3. Consider assembling all your essential cleaning products in one organized caddy. This way, you can easily carry your supplies from room to room without having to search for individual items. Choose a caddy with compartments or pockets to keep different products organized. Stock it with all-purpose cleaner, glass cleaner, disinfectant wipes, microfiber cloths, sponges, and scrub brushes.
  4. Move everything – furniture too! Moving things off of counters and pull furniture away from walls.
  5. Vacuum – Don’t sweep! Sweeping creates more dust.
  6. Move clockwise through a room, putting things back as you go. Think ‘up’, ‘down’ and ‘around’
  7. Carry a garbage & donate containers to help you dispose of unwanted stuff. Declutter as you clean.
  8. Windows – Don’t ignore them. Screens, tracks, sills – they attract the most dirt.
  9. Clean your ceilings – attach a microfibre cloth with an elastic to your broom.
  10. CELEBRATE your hardwork!
